Lipstick Movie
Lipstick is a 1976 drama film directed by Lamont Johnson. Starring Margaux and Mariel Hemingway, it contains one of the most infamous scenes in motion picture history, showing an extremely brutal and distressing rape scene.
Chrissy (Margaux Hemingway) is a model who houses her sister (Mariel Hemingway) in Los Angeles. When her sister's music teacher (Chris Sarandon) is offended when Chrissy paid more attention to a phone call than his music, he sexually harasses her, beats her until she passes out, ties her up and then anally rapes her. After he is acquitted of the crime, he sexually assaults her younger sister. Chrissy shoots him to death, her crime eventually found to be justifiable homicide.
Although this movie was supposed to catapult Margaux to fame, it was her younger sister Mariel whose impressive work got the rave reviews and led to the promising film career Margaux is said to have envied.
